Matcha: History & Popularity

Matcha has a rich history that dates back over 800 years. It was first developed in China and later refined in Japan, where it became known for its smooth taste and unique preparation process.

Unlike traditional tea, matcha is made by grinding whole green tea leaves into a fine powder, allowing you to consume the entire leaf. This gives matcha its vibrant green color, rich flavor, and higher concentration of natural nutrients.

Today, matcha has become popular all around the world. From lattes to specialty drinks, people love it for its clean, steady energy and refreshing taste. It offers a more balanced boost compared to coffee, helping you stay focused and energized throughout the day.

At its core, matcha is about slowing down and being intentional. In a fast-paced world, it gives you a moment to pause, reset, and find peace. Just like in life, it’s in these quiet moments that clarity comes, reminding us to stay grounded, walk in purpose, and appreciate the blessings in front of us.

Our Matcha

Our matcha is a smooth, vibrant green tea made from finely ground, high-quality tea leaves. Whisked to perfection, it delivers a rich, earthy flavor with a naturally creamy texture and a gentle, steady boost of energy. Whether enjoyed on its own or with milk, matcha offers a refreshing and balanced alternative to coffee.

The Process

  1. High-quality matcha powder is sifted to remove any clumps
  2. A small amount of hot water (not boiling) is added
  3. The matcha is whisked in a zig-zag motion until smooth and slightly frothy
  4. For a latte, steamed milk is added for a creamy finish
  5. Sweetener can be added if desired
  6. Served hot or iced for a refreshing, energizing drink
